GBI is a full service sourcing and consulting company that has successfully sourced items from China for over six years. We specialize in sourcing items from China. We work with companies on all phases of their supply chain, including: tweaking their designs, making molds, obtaining samples, testing samples, scheduling, manufacturing and shipping products.
The company was founded by Quan "Catherine" Magill, who is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. She initially worked with exports from China before coming to the USA. She has a good understanding of China's culture and business environment, and leverages this for her client's advantage. She worked sourcing goods for an American company prior to starting GBI. She has a total of ten years of sourcing experience.
To handle the growing volume and complexity of the business, GBI opened an office in the city of Qingdao, China to help process orders. We also hired a staff to perform inspections, facilitate factory communications and coordinate shipments.
Having an office in China staffed with Mandarin speakers is a key advantage that we have over other companies: this permits us to maintain contact with the various factories throughout the entire business day without losing anything in translation. We are also able to work with a greater number of factories, since many well qualified factories do not have English speaking staff.
